The Shree Ayyappa Swamy Temple is a reflection of the dedication and unity of a small yet deeply devoted community of individuals who came together with a shared vision. The story began with a group of ardent devotees living in and around Valsad, bound by a common purpose—to honour and spread the ideals of Lord Ayyappa. For over 25 years, this group organised poojas, bhajans, and gatherings in devotees' homes, cultivating a culture of devotion and solidarity within the community.
These early gatherings were not only moments of worship but also opportunities to strengthen bonds and inspire one another. Driven by an enduring dream of establishing a permanent temple, the group formalised their efforts by founding the Shree Ayyappa Seva Sangham. They registered it as a public charitable trust, known as Shree Ayyappa Seva Sangham (Regd.), Valsad, under Regn.No.A/842/Valsad, with the primary aim of creating a space where devotees could come together in worship and celebration.
The Sangham, which now includes around a hundred life members, is governed by an Executive Committee of fifteen dedicated individuals, elected for three-year terms. This committee oversees the temple's operations, ensures the continuation of its services, and organises events that unite the community in devotion and joy. Their efforts have transformed a longstanding dream into a reality, creating a cherished place of worship that continues to foster the values of unity, service, and spirituality.
Each member of the Sangham embodies a spirit of service and devotion, contributing to the temple's growth and success. Together, they carry forward the legacy of the founding members, ensuring the temple remains a source of inspiration and peace for generations to come.
